hour glass waiting

A recent article from MSN.com reflects a current topic that we deal with on a frequent basis: dealing with an Executor who is sitting on their hands.

Hiring an experienced probate attorney who has dealt with difficult executors is key to getting this type of matter resolved in a timely fashion and also to preserving estate property and your inheritance rights.

The Texas Estates Code allows for a beneficiary to request an accounting of an estate and also has mechanisms by which an Executor can be removed for failing to fulfill their duty owed to the Estate and the heirs. Being an Executor is not a job to be taken lightly but being a beneficiary is not either, know your rights so that you can better protect them.
