Child custody possession schedules can vary depending on who is the managing conservator and the possessory conservator. It’s important to know the difference.
Managing Conservator
The managing conservator is often called the “primary parent” and is the party that has the exclusive right to designate the primary residence of the children.
Possessory Conservator
The possessory conservator does not have that exclusive right and is subject to a possession schedule.
