It appears today that there are more and more scams that target the elderly.  In addition there are many people and family members that take advantage of the elderly.  With the first of 77 million baby boomers turning age 60 in 2006 and with the life expectancy increasing to an older age, many issues are beginning to arise more often with the elderly population.  It may become necessary for an elderly person at some point and time to seek the assistance of a family member, a friend or a professional.  There may come a time when an elderly person will need assistance in maintaining their daily living needs, in preserving and protecting their assets, planning for incapacity, long term financial and medical care, issues relating to nursing home care or at-home care, as well as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid needs.
