Apparently the stars of HGTV’s Flip or Flop couldn’t successfully renovate their marriage.
Husband, Tarek El Moussa filed divorce papers earlier this month, asking for joint custody of the couple’s children and spousal maintenance to be paid from Christina to him.
In Texas, joint managing conservatorship is presumed to be in the best interests of children, which is essentially decision making rights. This doesn’t always mean the Court will order a 50-50 possession schedule. However, things like family violence and/or mental instability can come into play. This may prove to be a problem for Tarek, as the divorce was allegedly filed after he ran off the couple’s property with a gun in an apparent suicide attempt.
